AIR cargo is stepping up to help desperate refugees fleeing the Syrian civil war.
Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen (Wings of Help) with Chapman Freeborn Airchartering have sent the first aid flight for Syrian refugees in Turkey.
The charter specialist assisted the German charity in delivering 41 tons of relief cargo from Frankfurt in Germany to Adana in southern Turkey.
Chapman Freeborn chartered an A300 freighter for the operation and coordinated the necessary permits to get the crucial consignment of food, tents, clothes and blankets through in time.
The supplies were handed over to the Turkish Red Crescent, which coordinates the distribution in the camps.
