Air cargo gets its skates on

THE parallels between figure skating and airfreight might not be immediately obvious.
Both do have a certain grace and efficiency but neither worlds have been so closely associated until now.
National Air Cargo has announced it is sponsoring Olympic ice skater Evan Lysacek.
The US based carrier is hoping its funding will help the Winter Olympian add to his trophy cabinet and become the first American to hold back-to-back figure skating titles since 1952.
The move is the brainchild of National’s owner and board member Lori Alf whose passion for the sport is well known – having built an Olympic standard ice arena in Florida.
Alf says: “Evan embodies the determination and passion required for continued success in men’s figure skating and is an amazing example to our employees who work around the clock handling passengers and cargo throughout the world.
“We wish Evan all success in his Olympic endeavour.”
