AIR France-KLM May traffic, saw a good level of activity with a six per cent rise in traffic, in line with the 5.8 per cent increase in capacity. The load factor improved slightly to 79.3 per cent (+0.2 points). The first half of the month included a number of public holidays in France, which stimulated leisure traffic at the expense of business, but it was the latter which underpinned activity during the second half of the month. There was a further improvement in unit revenue excluding currency impact.
The group carried 6.6 million passengers (+3.8 per cent).
Cargo
In May 2008, traffic rose by 2.7 per cent with capacity up 5.1 per cent. The load factor declined by 1.5 points to 64.8 per cent. The group carried 122,906 tons, up 0.7 per cent.
