Airbus workers on pay demands strike
26 / 04 / 2010
AIRBUS employees have walked out on strike over pay demands. Workers on the A330 and A340 lines, at plants in Toulouse, Nantes and Saint-Nazaire, walked out on Monday and blocked delivery of parts until midnight.
Their union representative, Alain Milhau, said that more strikes would hit other lines, such as the A320 and A380 lines, later this week.
Staff are demanding pay rises of 3.5 per cent for 2010, but management is only offering between 1.5 and 1.9 per cent.
