Despite the extensive damage and disruption to operations some carriers appear to have fared better than others.
Lufthansa Cargo had no freighter cancellations but the company says shipments were delayed due to passenger services being affected.
“The situation is slowly getting back to normal,” a spokesman reveals.

Delta Cargo says all its facilities were open for business two days later.

“All flights to LaGuardia are cancelled and we do not yet know when they will resume.  We are awaiting information from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
He continues: “John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) will resume limited operations and should operate a close-to-normal schedule on Thursday, along with Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey.”
