EGSAC – the independent cargo GSSA network – has appointed Airspace Aviation Solutions as its exclusive UK member.
Founded in 2000, Airspace represents Air New Zealand, Air Transat, Austrian Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Sri Lankan, and TAP Air Portugal. The company is headquartered in Manchester in the north of England, and has sales offices and staff covering London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Glasgow airports.
Airspace co-founder and managing director, Nick Lawson (right), said: “We believe the current tough market creates as many opportunities as threats, and we remain focused on expanding our portfolio of UK Airlines. Membership of EGSAC will help raise the profile of AirSpace Aviation Solutions, and makes us part of a flexible network that offers airlines substantial benefits.”
EGSAC president, Ton Smulders, said: “Nick and his team have achieved a great deal since launching their company. Their enthusiasm for our concept and their excellent reputation in the marketplace make them a perfect addition to our network.”
The EGSAC network comprises 32 members with 127 bases in 33 countries, collectively working with 150 airlines.
In addition to sales and marketing, Airspace provides a full cargo management service to any airline that requires it, and has previous experience of acting as global GSA for a major leisure airline, managing 25 sub-GSAs.
