American Airlines Cargo appoints GSSA

AMERICAN Airlines Cargo (AAC) has appointed a GSSA to boost its opportunities in Central America.
FlyUs, based in San Jose (Costa Rica) will be responsible for cargo sales, on behalf of the carrier, across eight cities in seven countries.
Managing director Carlo de Haas (pictured), who has enjoyed a long-standing professional relationship with AAC in Europe over the past decade, will oversee the operation.
“I’m very excited about our appointment by AA Cargo in this fast developing region," states de Haas.
"We have all the tools to serve the airfreight industry and give customers what they value most.”
He notes that there is significant potential for cargo exports, particularly from Guatemala, Costa Rica and Panama.
Commenting on the new development, Carmen Taylor, AA’s managing director of cargo sales for Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America, enthuses: “Driving forward our sales in the region is top of the agenda and we are confident that Carlo and his highly experienced team can achieve great things for us in all seven countries.”
