American Airlines Hungary for cargo routes

AMERICAN Airlines Cargo launched direct services to the Hungarian capital of Budapest from New York on 5 April.

Electronics and car parts are expected to be the key commodities onboard the daily, non-stop 767-300 out of Budapest. AA Cargo expects to split traffic evenly between inbound and outbound flights.

“This service opens up a new part of Europe for our customers, with connections via New York throughout the US and Latin America,” Tristan Koch, managing director of European cargo sales said. “In addition, our network alliances in the region will open a vast new array of destinations to shippers in Hungary.”

The carrier has appointed Kales Budapest as its GSA for the country under general manager Monika Nagy.
