ANA merges cargo subsidiaries

ALL Nippon Airways (ANA) will merge its cargo subsidiary, ANA & JP Express Co (AJV), with Air Japan Co from 1 July.

This follows ANA’s adding those AJV shares held by Japan Post Service, Mitsui OSK Lines and Nippon Express to the 51.7 per cent it already owns.

ANA says that the merger will have little impact on the subsidiaries.

The airline is now predicting an operating loss of US$652 million for the last financial year, three times the figure it had estimated at the end of 2009.
