Avient completes animal transport

ON 5 November, 2008, Avient shipped six elephants from Windhoek, Namibia to Valencia, final destination to be the Bio Parc that opened last year in Valencia. The Bio Parc, is a unique zoo recreating the African Savannah, which the six elephants will call home. Weighing in at 15 tonnes including crates, the elephants were accompanied by two keepers and a vet.

On 17 November a direct flight from Buenos Aires, Argentina, flew 68 polo ponies to Nigeria, Lagos, weighing a total of 30,600 kg. As with all flights involving animals, strict safety precautions are taken and appropriately trained personnel accompany the animals to ensure their health and safety.
