Batten leaves Qatar behind to join Swissport

JOHN Batten, general manager cargo for Qatar Airways, is leaving the airline and taking up a new position as executive vice-president, cargo for Swissport.

Batten will take-up his new role on 1 August, tasked with rebuilding Swissport’s damaged reputation in the market.

Batten told Air Cargo News that he left Qatar Airways with a great deal of good will on both sides, and that he looked forward to taking up a new challenge at Swissport.
