Cargolux appoints new chairman
17 / 01 / 2013
PAUL Helminger has been appointed Cargolux Airlines’ new chairman of the board of directors.
The move comes after Albert Wildgen stepped down from the position in November last year – the same month Qatar Airways relinquished its 35 per cent stake in the all-cargo airline – having joined the board in September 2011.
Luxembourg’s government has temporarily acquired the Middle East carrier’s stake until a new long-term shareholder can be found.
The other part owners are: Luxair with 43.4 per cent, the Banque et Caisse d’Epargne de l’Etat (BCEE), 10.9 per cent and Société Nationale de Crédit et d’Investissement (SNCI) with 10.7 per cent.
