Cathay collects first 747-8 freighter

CATHAY Pacific has joined the ‘at last’ club alongside Cargolux following the receipt of its delayed first 747-8F.

The 747-8 Freighter provides 16 per cent more revenue-generating cargo volume with a significantly improved environmental performance.

Cathay has ordered a total of 10 747-8Fs. It currently operates six 747-400 freighters, six 747-400ER freighters and eight 747-400BCFs.
