CCA join SkyTeam Alliance

CHINA Cargo Airlines (CCA) – China’s first all-cargo airline – is the latest carrier to join the SkyTeam Cargo Alliance.
A subsidiary of China Eastern Airlines, CCA was established in 1998, and is located in Shanghai, the most developed China metropolis at the centre of the Yangtze River Delta.
It operates 14 all-cargo routes and also markets the belly space of China Eastern.
CCA is the 11th member carrier of the SkyTeam Cargo Alliance.
SkyTeam Cargo, launched in September 2000, includes Aeroflot Cargo, Aeromexico Cargo, Air France Cargo, Alitalia Cargo, China Airlines Cargo, China Cargo Airlines, China Southern Cargo, Czech Airlines Cargo, Delta Cargo, KLM Cargo, and Korean Air Cargo.
“SkyTeam Cargo is a unique global alliance with high growth and vibrancy and is highly recognised by its customer-focused freight products with uniform standards as well as its unique one roof programme,” notes Shan Chuanbo, senior vice-president for alliances at China Eastern.
Joining SkyTeam will allow CCA to enjoy the economies of scale benefits and enlarge its flight network, whilst “upgrading its international competitiveness in compliance with the middle- and long-term strategic interests of CCA”, he adds.
