Corendon Airlines appoints Kargosistem

TURKISH carrier Corendon Airlines has appointed Kargosistem as its cargo general sales and service agent for its home country.

Kargosistem will provide sales, marketing, reservations, post-flights, revenue collection and claims handling for Corendon, which operates over twenty flights a week from three Turkish airports to around 90 destinations in Europe, Scandinavia and Kazakhstan.

The Corendon fleet comprises nine 737 aircraft. Cargo capacity is up to 1500kgs per flight, subject to sector and baggage load.

“We are particularly targeting traffic to Amsterdam [and Rotterdam, the Netherlands], Ercan [Cyprus] and Corendon’s German destinations,” Kargosistem managing director Demir Ozerman said. “We expect cut flowers, seeds and carpet to form a significant part of their business from Turkey. They also open up interesting feeder and interline opportunities.”
