AS one Deccan cargo operation starts, another stops.Deccan 360, G R Gopinath’s (right) express operation, started flying eight freighters internationally this month on its Delhi-Mumbai-Chennai-Hong Kong route. But at the same time Gopinath’s Deccan Cargo, which only started flying in May, has temporarily shut down its international operations due to lack of demand.Gopinath said that the hiatus was only temporary while the domestic network was shuffled. He added: “We will operate those flights from our hub at Nagpur to Hong Kong, Dubai and Singapore after a couple of months of establishing the domestic network.”Gopinath says he expects 360 operations to break even within 18 months and to create revenues of US$50-70 million in the first 12 months.
