Delta appoints new cargo staff

DELTA Air Lines has appointed Flavio Renfer (right), as regional director cargo sales, Western Europe, effective immediately. Based in Zurich, Renfer will be responsible for strategic direction in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.

Also effective immediately, Danita Waterfall-Brizzi, previously overseeing all of Europe, Middle East, Africa and India, will become regional director cargo sales, Eastern Europe, Africa, Middle East and India. This geographical division of labour, will allow more management resources to be dedicated to these very important revenue generating regions.

Renfer and Waterfall-Brizzi report directly to Neel Shah, vice-president cargo, Delta Air Lines, said: “Exports from Europe, Middle East, Africa and India accounted for 32 per cent of Delta Cargo revenues last year. Flavio brings to us experience in cargo in Western Europe and his appointment now completes a robust team of Delta management, including two regional sales directors, six regional sales and operational managers, and three coordinators. Delta Cargo is well placed to grow in these regions.”
