Donghai Airlines new service to Manila
16 / 12 / 2009
THE Shenzhen-based Chinese private cargo carrier – Donghai Airlines, inaugurated non-stop scheduled freight services between Shenzhen and Manila on 15 December, 2009. The new flight service operates three times a week with B747-300F aircraft.
Donghai Airlines has been officially put into operation since September 2006. After three years of development, it has already scheduled Shenzhen to Vientiane, Dhaka, Phnom Penh and other international routes. In the next four years, Donghai Airlines plans to introduce two aircrafts each year and will be up to 12 or so aircraft according to an annual rate of incremental expansion till 2012. Donghai Airlines actively input additional investment on its capacity and business development under an economic recession circumstance that shows Donghai Airlines is fully confident on the Shenzhen airfreight market and take opportunities to further speed up its domestic and international airfreight networks.
International Cargo Centre Shenzhen (ICCS) – a joint venture air cargo terminal between Shenzhen Airport Co Ltd and Lufthansa Cargo – currently handles a B747-300F freighter service on a route from Shenzhen to Hong Kong and Chengdu for Donghai Airlines based in Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport side.
