Eritrean freighter to Frankfurt

ERITREAN Airlines (East Africa) resurrects its weekly scheduled freighter service at Frankfurt Airport (Germany) with an Airbus A319 aircraft.

The three flights depart from Eritrea’s capital city of Asmara – where the airline is based – and go via Rome (Italy) to Frankfurt before returning to Asmara again.
Fraport Cargo Services, which holds the Cargo handling contract, previously worked with the airline between 2003 and 2009.

The carrier also operates flights from Asmara to Cairo (Egypt), Dubai (UAE), Lahore (Pakistan), Khartoum (Sudan) and Jeddah (Saudi Arabia).

Its fleet comprises five aircraft including four Airbus A319 and A320, as well as one Boeing 767-200.
