Europe’s airfreight falls 14 per cent

EUROPEAN airfreight fell 14 per cent in September compared to last year, the smallest decline since December. Total traffic was down to 2,564 million freight tonne kilometres (tfk).This brings the year-to-date figures to 22,377 million tfk, down 19.8 per cent from last year.Worst hit of the regional routes was still to Asia-Pacific, which was down 26 per cent.
