Ex-UTi executive lands Kuehne role

AS of 1 October, 2010, Kuehne + Nagel has appointed former UTi executive vice-president and chief operating officer, John Hextall, as president of its North America region. Hextall succeeds Rolf Altorfer, who steps down at his own request, and who will continue to serve K+N in several key strategic project roles.

Reinhard Lange, chief executive officer of K+N, said: “I am pleased that John Hextall has accepted the position as our regional manager of North America, and will continue developing this important region. I am confident that the region – which has seen significant growth under Rolf Altorfer’s leadership – will benefit from John Hextall’s logistics knowledge and broad management experience.”

Hextall said: “I am excited to join K+N and to be part of its skilled North American logistics team. We will continue to drive expansion through a variety of customer-focused programs under the company’s strategic growth plan.”
