FedEx Trade Networks opts for Cargowise solution

Freight forwarder FedEx Trade Networks will utilise WiseTech Global’s CargoWise digital platform for its ocean and air transportation network.

FedEx said the new platform will provide “end-to-end visibility into the movement of shipments in real time” and provide freight management from a single source “enabling digital development with improved data integration, automation, and ability to scale”.

Patrick Moebel, president, FedEx Trade Networks, said: “We strategically chose CargoWise because it enhances our services across the spectrum, and provides for scalable customer growth, at a time when there are dynamic changes throughout the global supply chain.”

FedEx Trade Networks is a business unit within FedEx Logistics and offers air and ocean freight forwarding, e-commerce, customs brokerage, trade solutions, and other trade facilitation services.
