FRAPORT Cargo Services GmbH revokes warehouse management service of Kuehne + Nagel Airlift airfreight warehouse at Frankfurt airport. After 17 months of warehouse management service of K+N airfreight warehouse at Frankfurt Airport, FCS will stop its activities from 30-6-2010 in accordance with client K+N Airlift. As declared by FCS management, FCS started this activity with a clear vision to achieve a high quality service level in an economically profitable environment. After some start-up difficulties, which resulted in a non-compliance with quality standards, the quality target levels have been met, but without achieving the targeted yield. Decreased freight volumes, due to world economic crises, have led to a further difference between planned and realised turnover. The closure of this contract with K+N Airlift doesn’t result in a complete withdrawal of FCS from the business field of airfreight services, commissioned by forwarders. FCS will keep offering its services in air cargo besides its activity of airline cargo handling.
Today FCS provides cargo handling for 42 airlines in Cargo City South of Frankfurt Airport.
