Freighter crashes in Philippines killing three

AN Interisland Airlines freighter has crashed in the Philippines killing three of its six crew.
Flying from Mactan to Pampanga the An-12 suffered an electrical fire forcing the pilot to try an emergency landing, however it then exploded in flames on impact breaking into two pieces.
The three dead crewmembers were two Russian ground engineers – Vadim Yakimov and Mikolay Bannon – and a Bulgarian – Tsvitoslav Guechevski.
The three surviving crewmembers – two Russians and an Uzbek – were taken to hospital with minor injuries. They were identified as the pilot Yuri Tochocony, co-pilot Dmitri Straminski and crewmember Bokadier Ruchev.
The aircraft was chartered by UPS from Interisland.
