GLN ties up with United Cargo

UNITED Airlines Cargo is the latest carrier to tie-up with Global Logistics Network (GLN), an association of 438 small and medium-sized forwarders in 124 countries.
Recognised as one of the more worthwhile and professional forwarder organisations, GLN already operates preferred-carrier partnerships with Etihad, IAG Cargo, Qantas, American Airlines and Oman Air.
Jim Bellinder, United Airlines Cargo’s vice-president of global sales has signed a memorandum of understanding with GLN.
Roy Stapleton, president of GLN, says: “I am very pleased to have United Airlines Cargo on our preferred carrier list. They truly understand and acknowledge the strength of the logistics networks in today’s market place and GLN’s position as a quality and mature organisation within that industry.”
GLN’s forwarders are collectively responsible for annual revenues of more thanUS$8.9billion and handle 5.8 million shipments a year.
