IAI Bedek delivers first new 737 to TNT

TNT has taken delivery of the first of 11 converted 737 freighters, a 737-400. The total order is for eight more Boeing 737-400s and two 737-300s to be delivered over the next 18 months. The new freighters will replace TNT’s current 737 fleet.

The freighters are being converted by IAI Bedek and financed by GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS).

TNT already leases 10 converted freighters from GECAS. The air carrier plans to use the aircraft to increase the capacity of its European operations.
