JAL cuts cargo surcharge

JAPAN Airlines (JAL) has cut its international cargo fuel surcharge on exports.
The surcharge is reduced from ¥87 (US98¢) per kg to ¥80 (90¢) on long-haul international flights, ¥75 (85¢) per kg to ¥69 (78¢) on medium-haul routes and ¥63 (71¢) per kg to ¥58 (66¢) on short-haul.
In addition, from 31 October, JAL will be operating seven daily flights to Bangkok, Honolulu, Paris, San Francisco, Singapore and Taipei.
JAL’s chief operating officer, Masaru Onishi, said: “We intend to fully utilise Haneda’s strategic advantages for operations to Europe, America and Asia.”
