Korean Air aims for top slot in 2019

CONFIDENTLY looking beyond the present economic troubles, Korean Air is aiming for US$1.6 billion in operating profit in 2019 on sales of $15.9 billion. It will also expand its fleet from 130 to 180 aircraft.

Last week, the national carrier ordered six A330-200s from Airbus for $1 billion with a scheduled delivery from 2009 to 2013.
