Korean is number one for sixth year in a row

NEW IATA statistics have shown that Korean Air maintained its position at the top of the international scheduled air cargo operators rankings for 2009, despite the global challenges that have been affecting the industry.

According to the World Air Transport Statistics, compiled by IATA, Korean Air topped the global rankings for commercial airline cargo operations for the sixth consecutive year.

During 2009, Korean Air recorded an annual FTK figure of 8,225 million. Cathay Pacific was in second place with 7,722 million FTKS, followed by Lufthansa in third.
