KUZU Purchases Airbus A310 Freighters From Emirates

IN line with its fleet augmentation plans, Turkish ACMI operator KUZU Airlines Cargo, has purchased three Airbus A310 freighters from Emirates SkyCargo.

The airline is based at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport and currently operates a fleet of four A300-B4 freighters. The three new aircraft will take KUZU’s freighter fleet to seven, enabling the carrier to further expand its capacity.

The aircraft, with their maximum payload of 40 tonnes, are set to be deployed on its regular charter routes in Europe, the CIS, Africa, the Middle East and Far East.

Fatih Yurdakul, KUZU Airlines Cargo, chief executive officer, said he was excited about receiving the new freighters. “We have an expansion strategy to which this deal has enabled us to adhere. The Airbus A310Fs are an ideal fit to our growth plans. KUZU is very proud to be growing its fleet, especially at a time when many airlines around the world are parking aircraft.”

KUZU will take a phased delivery of its new aircraft, receiving the first in September with the other two following in October and December.
