LAN resumes flights at Santiago Airport

LAN Airlines has resumed restricted domestic and international flight operations at the Santiago airport following the recent Chilean earthquake.

“The situation is far from normal operations,” said Ignacio Cueto, LAN’s president and chief operating officer. “We are working to be able to resume just 15 per cent of our domestic and international operations.”

Through Thursday of this week, the priority will be the transfer to and from Santiago of those passengers who have been affected by flight cancellations. Operations are expected to begin getting back to normal from Friday of this week.
