Lufthansa Cargo appoints new area manager Americas

EFFECTIVE 1 October 2010, Achim Martinka will take over from Klaus Holler as Lufthansa Cargo’s new area manager for the Americas. He will be responsible for all of Lufthansa Cargo’s sales and handling activities in both North and South America.

Holler, who has held the position in Atlanta since 2003, is now starting his retirement.

Martinka (right) began his career at Lufthansa Cargo as senior manager global accounts in 2000 and held a variety of posts within the company. Since 1 July 2006, he has been the regional director sales and handling for France, Switzerland and the Benelux countries.

Dr. Andreas Otto, board member product and sales, thanked Klaus Holler for more than 40 years of service at Lufthansa Cargo. “Klaus has helped shape Lufthansa Cargo. In the four decades he worked for Lufthansa, he made a significant contribution in positioning Lufthansa Cargo so successfully in the international airfreight market. The strength of our company in the American market is also the result of his work.”
