Lufthansa Cargo’s strike message to customers

Dear Customer,
The trade union Verdi has called upon Lufthansa’s ground staff to enter into a widespread fullday token strike on Monday, April 22, 2013.
A significant impact on Lufthansa’s flight operations as well as on Lufthansa Cargo’s freight shipments is anticipated as a result of this action.
During the strike period announced for Frankfurt – Monday at 5 am until Tuesday at 6 am – Lufthansa Cargo will only be able to guarantee emergency operations in both export and import.
We therefore wish to request that you please re-schedule planned drop-offs and pick-ups to before or after the strike. In Munich, the latest acceptance time for export consignments is April 21, 10p.m. local time (concerning flights scheduled for departure on Monday, April 22).
Lufthansa Cargo regrets any inconvenience to its customers caused by industrial action by the trade union Verdi. You can rest assured that we are doing our utmost at all our stations worldwide to keep the potential inconvenience to you at a minimum. We will reschedule some freighter flights planned for the strike period so as to ensure operations.
