Lufthansa to launch Tel Aviv freighter flights

Lufthansa Cargo will operate its first all-freighter service to Tel Aviv, Israel from October 28.
The carrier will connect Israel’s second city with it’s Frankfurt base using MD-11 freighters.
Lufthansa bosses expect to fly pharmaceuticals bound for the US out and engineering products into Isreal.
A spokesman said: “With this new service, Lufthansa Cargo is significantly expanding its presence in the Israeli market.
“Never before have customers had such a large choice of flights.
“This winter, in addition to the freighter flights operated by Lufthansa Cargo, Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines will offer 37 flights a week to their hubs at Frankfurt, Munich and Vienna, as well as to Düsseldorf and Berlin.”
