Menzies to grab South African business

MENZIES Aviation will acquire Johannesburg-based MMA Consolidators for an undisclosed sum. The four MMA shareholders will stay with the newly-named AMI MMA, with Mike Todd as regional director, Africa.

MMA has been AMI’s service partner in South Africa for the past two years, and its main markets are Africa, Europe, the UK and USA.

The acquisition follows the launch of Menzies’ operations in South Africa, as well as the recent acquisition of the cargo handling business of Airline Cargo Resources, South Africa.
