New air cargo advisory group formed

THE four walls of the air cargo industry now come under one roof thanks to the formation of a new Global Air Cargo Advisory Group (GACAG).

FIATA, IATA, TIACA and GSF will focus on the issues of Customs and trade facilitation, sustainability of the global air cargo industry, air cargo security and e-commerce.

GACAG aims to present joint industry positions to third parties, including inter-governmental organisations such as WCO and ICAO. Chairmanship of GACAG’s new steering committee will rotate among the members on an annual basis, commencing with TIACA, which will also serve as the Secretariat for GACAG.
