People update 18 May

FOUR more air cargo industry executives have been elected on to the board of directors at the International Air Cargo Association (TIACA).

Neel Shah (pictured), senior vice-president and chief cargo officer, Delta Air Lines; Vladimir Zubkov, vice-president of Volga-Dnepr; and Jason Foote, vice-president international air and charter operations, at UPS Airlines join the board. Oliver Evans, chief cargo officer of Swiss International Airlines, has been elected as vice-chairman of TIACA.

Christian Zweifel has been appointed general manager of Swissport Losch operations in Munich (Germany), effective 1 June.

Rob Bongaerts assumes the responsibility of vice-president and managing director Europe, Middle East and Africa at MIQ Logistics.

Traxon Europe has appointed René Kircil as senior area manager sales. Kircil is directly responsible for sales in the Middle East and acts as regional head of sales for the German speaking and Eastern European markets.
