DIEDERIK Pen has been appointed managing director of Martinair. In 2006 Pen joined Martinair Holland. As director of operations, he was part of the Martinair management team and the board of managing directors.

Pen succeeds Paul Gregorowitsch, who will become chief commercial officer at airberlin, where he will hold a seat on the executive board effective 1 September.

Chapman Freeborn Airchartering has named Dewi Gendo (pictured) as general manager China. Gendo previously held senior sales and business development positions at Polar Air Cargo and Lufthansa Cargo.

Philip Saunders has been appointed chief commercial officer at Air Malta. Most recently, Saunders held the position of chief executive officer at Caribbean Airlines.

Dubai-based Emirates has appointed Sunil Kallyat as its regional manager for the western region.
