DELTA Cargo has promoted Danita Waterfall-Brizzi (right) to director cargo sales and service for Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa region. Waterfall-Brizzi will be responsible for all Delta cargo sales and customer service activities in the region and will lead the coordination efforts of the new joint venture with Air France/KLM Cargo.

She is based in Frankfurt, Germany and will report to Ray Curtis, managing director global sales.

CARGOLOGIC has made Marco Gredig its head of sales, marketing and business development unit, effective

1 July. Gredig has over 20 years’ experience in logistics and was responsible for setting up the Forwarder Handling business at Cargologic.

“Customers’ needs are of central importance to us. They spur us on as we look to expand the range of services we provide each day. Our position in the market is based on permanent close contact to our customers,” he said.

SCHENKER International has made Thomas Lau its director airfreight, South China. Lau, who succeeds Eddie Chung, has been with Schenker since 1979.

MICAH Cheserem has resigned from his seat on the board of directors of Kenya Airways. The former governor of the Central Bank of Kenya was elected to the board in 2003 but was recently made chairman of the Capital Market Authority, which oversees the stock exchange in Nairobi, where Kenya Airways is traded. His resignation is because of this potential conflict of interests.
