Polet gets new aircraft

POLET Airlines has received its first An-148-100E from JSC Voronezh Aircraft Manufacturing Company.

This is the first of 10 aircraft of this modification to be delivered by the Voronezh aviation plant in accordance with the leasing agreement signed in October 2010.

“The 4,400km range of the aircraft will allow the air carrier to provide services between the Black Earth Region and Ural and Siberian regional centres, as well as to launch flights to Egypt, Spain, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Israel and other destinations,” Anatoly Karpov, general director of Polet Airlines said.

JSC plans to hand over the second An-148-100E in August. A fourth Il-96-400T will also be delivered for the cargo branch of the airline this year.
