Qatar blankets perishables

QATAR Airways Cargo, is testing a new initiative to increase the protection of temperature-sensitive shipments.

The introduction of heavy-duty thermal blankets will help combat the temperature conditions throughout the journey by keeping any perishable cargo at a constant temperature.

Commenting on the introduction of the thermal blankets, Vikram Singh, Qatar Airways vice-president cargo sales, said: “These thermal blankets reduce the risk of the cargo being affected or damaged by extreme weather and temperature conditions from the time that the airline accepts delivery right up until the products are collected.”
