Russia extends airspace agreement

THE Russian transport ministry has extended Lufthansa Cargo’s permission to fly over Russian Federation territory until the end of March. The carrier’s current permit is valid until the end of this month.
The government has been putting pressure on the carrier to fly to Southeast Asia via Russian airports.
The two sides are due to enter discussions about how the airline can carry on with its flights.
