Russian freighter makes emergency landing at Sharjah

ANOTHER cargo plane has had an incident at Sharjah Airport less than a week after the Sudanese 707 crash last week, which killed all six of crewmembers.The Russian 747 freighter – airline currently unknown – made an emergency landing on the evening of the 25 October after one of its engines caught fire. There were no reported injuries.The UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority has grounded the aircraft pending completion of an investigation.
