Saudia Cargo says it with flowers

SAUDIA CARGO is to operate a series of four extra, wide-bodied freighter flights from Nairobi to Amsterdam to meet extra demand for fresh cut-flowers in the traditionally busy month of February.
The extra flights will be operated with a mix of MD-11F and B747F services, and are in addition to the existing five weekly, scheduled freighter operations Saudia Cargo offers on this sector.
The new initiative increases the total Saudi flowers capacity to more than 1,000 tonnes into the European market during the month.
“Kenya is the number one airfreight export country in Africa and Saudia Cargo is a well-established and leading carrier in this market. The deployment of these additional flights to meet the increased demand, for a third consecutive year, shows our strong commitment to the Kenyan floriculture industry,” comments Ken Mbogo, regional sales director, Africa, at Saudia Cargo.
“We will continue to strengthen our support to the industry in the long-term,” he promises.
