Schenker parts air and ocean

JOCHEN Müller, previously head of Schenker in the UK, will take on responsibility for airfreight at DB Schenker following the retirement of Michael Korn, deputy chairman of the management board of Schenker Deutschland ,who had responsibility for air and ocean freight.

A new head of ocean freight has also been appointed.

“I’m very pleased that we are able to fill these crucial board positions internally, with internationally experienced colleagues,” Thomas Lieb, chairman of the management board of Schenker, commented.

“Michael Korn is a true veteran of logistics and of our division. As he is retiring his tasks will be taken over by two colleagues. This is due to dynamic business development in air and ocean freight and also reflects our decision to manage our worldwide air and ocean freight separately at the regional and national level,” Lieb added.
