Schiphol Cargo appoints strategist

SCHIPHOL Cargo – the freight division of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol – has appointed a new strategist.
Hendriena Ritsema will oversee the long-term plans for cargo operations at the airport as director of strategic development.
Her aviation career includes posts with KLM’s revenue management department, as well as Schiphol ICT – the division responsible for the airport’s automated systems, such as gate management and flight data.
“We welcome Hendriena to our team,” states Schiphol Cargo’s senior vice-president Enno Osinga. “Her considerable experience in managing complex long-term projects will provide us with valuable additional resource to streamline cargo processing at Schiphol and so maintain our drive to be Europe’s preferred cargo gateway.”
Ritsema succeeds Harry Tomesen, who has retired after 30 years with the airport.
