Toll Global Forwarding new head of airfreight

Former UK airfreight director for DHL Global Forwarding, Mark Wardman, has joined the ambitious Toll Global Forwarding as its new global airfreight head – taking up his position in early August. Toll has sought to employ experienced freight forwarding executives in recent months as it increases the tempo of its acquisition strategy.

Plans call for the company to rapidly expand worldwide, with the goal of becoming established in the top 10 of global forwarders.??Wardman told Air Cargo News that he “considered a number of other positions” and could have joined another multinational forwarder, but elected to join Toll thanks to the new opportunities the company offered. “Toll is a progressive company and is looking to go places. This a great opportunity to do what we did at Danzas and rapidly build into a leading global player.”??

In addition, another ex-DHL employee, Jason Wilson, has joined Toll Global Forwarding as global airfreight product development, and will report to Wardman as the company refines and expands its airfreight product portfolio.??
