Turkish places large Boeing order

TURKISH Airlines has ordered 20 Next generation 737s from Boeing. The order includes 10 737-800s and 10 737-900ERs. The Turkish carrier already has 66 Boeing aircraft, including 58 737s in its fleet.

Marlin Dailey, vice-president of sales, Boeing Commercial Airplanes, said: “The 737-900ER will fit seamlessly into Turkish Airlines’ operations, sharing the same pilots, systems and nearly 100 per cent spares commonality with the airlines’ current Next-Generation 737 fleet.”
