UNITED Airlines has been charged with infringing European Union competition rules after an investigation into alleged fuel-price fixing at the carriers’ cargo division.
“United intends to defend itself vigorously against these charges in its formal response to the commission and in the European Court of Justice if necessary,” said the carrier.
The airline reached a settlement in lawsuits brought against it in the US cargo collusion case in 2006.
