UPS muscles into healthcare

LAST summer Cathay Pacific underscored its focus on the pharmaceutical sector with a boost for its temperature-controlled service. The Hong Kong-based airline signed a master lease agreement with CSafe for the container provider’s AcuTemp RKN units, which allow temperature control between four and 25°C.

The temperature-controlled containers have been a welcome addition to support Cathay’s Pharma Lift, a dedicated offering for pharma and healthcare traffic, which the carrier has refined over the past couple of years, noted cargo product and marketing manager Jack Lo (right).
